Is there a vehicle tracking system that would give you a display of a road map and track you while your drivin?

I want to know if there is a vehicle tracking system that would allow me to see where i am on the road. like where it would have a road map display and track my driving as i drive
what about a program that would go on your laptop i would like names

I prefer Microsoft Streets & Trips – The NPD Group / Retail Tracking Service says it is the "#1 best-selling travel and map software." You can get it with a GPS as well to do this type of "tracking."
