aftering attaching a GPS system to the cigarette lighter, the lighter will not work?
my husband has just bought a Magellan GPS system and set it up in my 2007 Dodge Caliber. He attached it to the cigarette lighter for a trip last week and now both the cigarette lighter and electric plug will not work. He did change out the fuses but it still won’t work – is there a certain fuse that you need to use or is there something else wrong? Everything was working before he added the GPS system.
Like Lee said, bring it in to the dealer to have them take a look – you most likely still have warranty bumper to bumper.
This issue is probably just a loose connection or something of the sort.
